PushEngage vs Omnisend:
keep the email, add the app.
Omnisend runs email and SMS for online stores and includes web push on Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Edge. Its own help center says that push does not reach Safari or iPhone, and it lists no mobile app push. Many stores keep Omnisend and add PushEngage for app push, in-app messages, Safari, and finer control over push. If browser push on desktop and Android is all you need, Omnisend already covers it.

Reliability and trust
What you can check before you add a channel.
A second tool next to Omnisend has to earn its line in the budget. Here is what PushEngage puts on the table without a sales call.
Prices you can put in the budget today
Every public tier is on the pricing page, billed on active subscribers, web and app combined. The number in the proposal is the number on the invoice.
- Published tiers from 1,000 to 250,000 subscribers
- No per-message fees on push; each plan includes a monthly sending volume
- Inactive Subscriber Cleanup on every plan
- Enterprise quoted above 250,000
Send controls that protect the channel
Browsers now throttle senders who over-message. Cap how often each subscriber hears from a triggered campaign and send in their timezone.
- Daily and weekly frequency caps on triggered campaigns, Growth and above
- Quiet hours inside Workflows
- Subscriber-timezone sending on Premium and above
GDPR and CCPA in the defaults
Every subscription is a browser or device permission grant. Add a pre-permission consent overlay where your audience needs one.
- Configurable pre-permission overlay per site
- One-click unsubscribe at the device level
A dashboard for marketers, an API for engineers
Your team runs campaigns from the dashboard. When you would rather hand it off, an MCP server lets Claude or Cursor work the account.
- AI Copywriter through AI-powered campaigns, a paid credit add-on on Business, Premium, and Growth (included on Enterprise)
- First-party MCP server for Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor
- REST API, SDKs, and Zapier on every plan, webhooks on Growth
- Open-source Agent Skills for SDK integration
Support that scales with the plan
Email support on every paid plan. Growth and Enterprise add direct access to customer success and onboarding with your first campaign set up for you, and Enterprise gets a technical onboarding contact.

The 30-second version
Usually not a replacement. A second channel beside Omnisend.
Omnisend is built around email and SMS, with browser push added to the same canvas. PushEngage is built around push: the browser, the app, and the in-app message. Which one you need depends on where your shoppers are, not on a feature count.
Email, SMS, and one canvas
Your email flows, SMS on Pro, and the automations that mix them stay in Omnisend. Nothing on this page asks you to move them.
Browser push on desktop and Android
Web push is unlimited on Omnisend Standard and Pro. If Chrome, Firefox, and Opera shoppers are your whole push audience, you already pay for it.
You have a mobile app
Omnisend lists no app push. PushEngage adds iOS, Android, Flutter, and React Native SDKs plus in-app messages, in one dashboard with web push.
Safari and iPhone shoppers
Omnisend’s help center says its push works in no Safari browser and on no iPhone. PushEngage sends to Safari, including home-screen web apps on iOS 16.4+.
Who sends browser push
Pick one tool per site. Keep it in Omnisend for one canvas across channels, or move it to PushEngage for custom opt-in prompts and timezone sending.

| Omnisend | PushEngage | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is built for | Email and SMS marketing for online stores, with web push, signup forms and popups, and Google and Facebook audience sync in the same account. | Push and on-site messaging for retention teams: web push, app push, in-app messages, WhatsApp automation, and a chat widget. No email or SMS sending. |
| Web push | Yes, in campaigns and automations, for Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Shoplazza stores (not Wix). Its help center lists Chrome, Firefox, and Opera on desktop and Android, and Edge on Windows and Android. | Yes. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, on Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, or any HTTPS site. Off WordPress and Shopify, you add our JavaScript and a service worker file at your site root, once. |
| Safari and iPhone | Not supported. Omnisend’s help center says its push does not work in Safari on any platform, or in any browser on iPhone. | Yes. Safari on Mac, and home-screen web apps on iOS 16.4+. |
| Mobile app push | Not listed. Its channels page names email, SMS, web push, Google Customer Match, and Facebook Custom Audiences, and its glossary defines push as web push to a browser. | Yes. Native iOS, Android, Flutter, and React Native SDKs on APNs and FCM, counted with web push in one subscriber total. |
| In-app messages | Not listed on its channels, features, or pricing pages. | In-app messaging on every plan, with usage limits by plan (live, Android SDK first, more SDKs to follow). |
| Opt-in prompt | The browser’s own permission prompt, shown 2 to 3 seconds after a new visitor arrives. Omnisend’s FAQ says its text, design, and timing cannot be changed. | Yours to design. A custom prompt before the browser’s, fired by time on page, scroll depth, or a click, with URL and country rules. A visitor who declines your prompt can be asked again later. |
| Opt-in tracking | Push subscribers show up as a segment by subscription status. Push sign-ups do not fire the signup trigger for welcome automations; its docs suggest a segment-entry trigger instead. | On the web, opt-in conversion metrics (Premium and above) report your custom prompt and the browser’s native prompt as separate steps, with allow, block, and close counts. |
| Web on-site popups | Popups, embedded forms, flyouts, and landing pages for collecting emails and phone numbers. Yes | No promotional popups for websites. PushEngage popups on your site are push opt-in prompts. In-app messages run inside mobile apps. |
| Automation | One workflow canvas with email, SMS, and push blocks, conditional splits on behavior or profile data, and A/B test splits that can compare channels. One canvas, three channels | Workflows on every plan. Free: 1 active workflow of up to 5 steps. Business: 5 active workflows, 10 steps, with Wait, Decision, and Exit steps. Premium: 20 active workflows, 25 steps, adding Split Path and Workflow Chaining. Growth: unlimited workflows and steps, adding HTTP request actions. |
| Send-time optimization | A per-contact send time based on past opens, clicks, or orders, for email campaigns only, on Pro or as a Standard add-on. SMS and push campaigns schedule on the store’s time zone. Per contact, for email | Partly: subscriber-timezone sending (Premium and above) and A/B tests on send time; no per-subscriber send-time prediction. |
| Funnels and journey analytics | Revenue by channel, campaign, and automation. Push reports show views, clicks, revenue, devices, and products ordered.Funnel or path reports: check with Omnisend. | Goal tracking with revenue attribution (Premium and above) and workflow analytics. No funnel or path analytics. |
| WhatsApp and chat | Through partner apps listed in its help center, such as Chatarmin, which sync WhatsApp leads and events into Omnisend.Native WhatsApp sending: check with Omnisend. | WhatsApp automation: order updates on every paid plan and cart recovery on Growth and above, through your own Meta Business account; runs on Shopify and on WordPress with WooCommerce. A chat widget on every plan with 21 channels plus custom links. |
| AI and agents | Forms AI and Reports AI on Standard; Pro adds product recommendations, dynamic content, and personalized sending time. Its pricing page also lists an Omnisend MCP server. | AI Copywriter through AI-powered campaigns, a paid credit add-on on Business, Premium, and Growth (included on Enterprise). A first-party MCP server for Claude and Cursor on every plan, including Free. |
| How it is priced | By billable contacts: anyone subscribed on any channel, plus non-subscribers who receive automated messages. Push-only subscribers count. Standard from $16/month and Pro from $59/month, with web push unlimited on both. | By active push subscribers, web and app counted together. From $8/month, billed yearly (first-year price); renewals start at $166 a year. Each plan includes a monthly sending volume (40, 50, or 75 times your subscriber count on Business, Premium, and Growth). |
| Free plan | 500 emails and 500 web push notifications a month, to up to 250 contacts. | 200 subscribers, 30 campaigns, 1 active workflow, and 1 site. No card. |
| Support | 24/7 live chat and email support on every plan, including Free, per its pricing page. An account expert once you spend $400 a month. | Email support on Business and Premium. Email plus direct customer-success access, and onboarding with your first campaign set up, on Growth and Enterprise. Enterprise gets a technical onboarding contact. |
| Working together | No PushEngage integration listed. | No native Omnisend integration today. The two run on the same store. PushEngage has a REST API and Zapier on every plan, and webhooks on Growth; Omnisend publishes its own API. |

What it costs
What adding PushEngage costs next to Omnisend.
Omnisend prices by contacts across every channel, and PushEngage prices by push subscribers, so one total does not compare fairly. The useful question is what the second tool adds to your bill.
| Your push list | Business plan | Premium plan | Growth plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 push subscribers | $535 a year | $720 a year | $905 a year |
| 20,000 push subscribers | $1,020 a year | $1,458 a year | $1,828 a year |
| 50,000 push subscribers | $1,920 a year | $2,566 a year | $3,489 a year |
Standard annual renewal prices, what you pay from year two, from the live PushEngage plans API on October 5, 2026. First-year pricing is lower, from $8/month, billed yearly; see pricing for today’s rate. Business covers web push, app push, in-app messages, Workflows, and the chat widget. Premium adds subscriber-timezone sending, A/B tests, goal tracking, and Split Path. Growth adds cart and browse abandonment, back in stock, price drop, triggered campaigns with frequency caps, and WhatsApp cart recovery.
Moving browser push off Omnisend? Its push FAQ says push-only subscribers count toward its billable contacts until you stop collecting push and unsubscribe them, so the move can lower your Omnisend contact count. Source: Omnisend push FAQ, checked October 5, 2026.
Where we will not pretend
Five things a fair Omnisend comparison says out loud.
- For browser push on desktop and Android, Omnisend alone is enough. Web push is unlimited on Standard, from $16 a month, and on Pro, and it sits in the same automations as your email, and your SMS on Pro. With no app and little Safari traffic, adding PushEngage for that alone is extra spend.
- Omnisend sends email and SMS. PushEngage sends neither. Keep Omnisend for both. PushEngage adds channels beside your email tool; it does not replace it.
- Omnisend’s canvas mixes channels. One workflow can send an email, then an SMS, then a push, and an A/B test split can compare channels. PushEngage Workflows run push, and WhatsApp automation runs as its own product.
- Omnisend predicts send times for email, and it has website popups. Pro picks a send time per contact for email campaigns, and its forms put offer popups on your site. PushEngage sends at the hour you choose in each subscriber’s timezone, reports conversions through goal tracking, and has no website popups beyond its opt-in prompts.
- There is no PushEngage and Omnisend integration. The two run side by side. To move data between them, use the PushEngage REST API, Zapier, or webhooks on Growth, with Omnisend’s API on the other end.
What PushEngage includes
Push a marketing team runs without a developer.
Web push and app push share one composer, one audience, and one report. Store automations, Workflows, segmentation, and A/B tests are gated by plan and listed on the pricing page.
One composer for the browser and the lock screen
Write it once and send it to Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, and to iOS and Android, from the same screen. One audience, one report.
- Native SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native, and Flutter on every plan
- Live preview per platform, plus AI-powered campaigns, a paid credit add-on (included on Enterprise)
- Scheduling and recurring sends, with timezone delivery on Premium and above
eCommerce automations you switch on
Order received, on hold, cancelled, shipped, plus cart abandonment. Each is a ready campaign behind a toggle, and each reports the revenue it brought back.
- Cart and browse abandonment, price drop, and back in stock on Growth
- Order and shipping updates that answer where-is-my-order before the ticket
- Goal tracking on Premium and above ties revenue to the campaign that earned it
Workflows: wait, decide, act
A drag-and-drop canvas for welcome series, cart recovery, and win-backs. Wait, branch on behavior, then send or move the subscriber to a segment. Higher plans add split paths, starting another workflow, and HTTP requests.
- The builder is on every plan: Free runs 1 active workflow of up to 5 steps
- Business: 5 active workflows, 10 steps each, with wait and decision nodes
- Split Path and Workflow Chaining on Premium and above; HTTP request actions on Growth
Trigger rules your team sets without a ticket
On Growth and above, start a campaign on any event your site or app fires, stop it on another, and cap how often one subscriber hears from you.
- Custom start and stop events from the SDK or REST API
- Daily and weekly frequency capping on triggered campaigns
- UTM parameters added to every click URL
Segments built on active subscribers
Send to everyone, to a saved audience group such as active subscribers, or to a segment by URL, geography, device, or purchase behavior. Groups update themselves.
- Dynamic segments and audience groups without a developer
- Attributes set from the SDK or API for one-to-one copy
- Inactive Subscriber Cleanup keeps the count and the bill honest
A/B tests that pick their own winner
Test two headlines, images, or calls to action on a sample. After the delay you set, the better click rate goes to everyone else.
- Sample size and delay under your control
- Winner chosen on click-through rate
- On Premium and above
Opt-in prompts that earn the Allow click
When the prompt fires matters more than what it says. Trigger it by time on page, scroll depth, or a click, match it to your site, and segment subscribers as they join.
- Popup templates with desktop and mobile previews
- Triggers by time on page, scroll depth, or button click
- Segment on subscribe so the first campaign is already targeted
Start from a template, not a blank field
Broadcast templates by category, each tagged with its own UTM so you can see which style earns the click. Pick one, swap the copy, send.
- Templates for sales, launches, content, and win-backs
- UTM tracking per template for clean attribution
- Blank template when you want full control

Setup
Add PushEngage next to Omnisend, then measure it.
Your email and SMS stay in Omnisend. The one decision is which tool sends browser push on your site.
One installer, whichever store you run
Pick your platform, install the app or plugin, or add our JavaScript and service worker file. Omnisend’s email, SMS, and forms keep running as they are.
- Shopify and Shopify Plus from the App Store
- WordPress and WooCommerce plugin, or our JavaScript and a service worker file on any other site
- iOS, Android, Flutter, and React Native SDKs for app push
Decide who sends browser push
Keep Omnisend’s web push and add PushEngage for your app, or move browser push to PushEngage for Safari, custom prompts, and timezone sending. One tool per site keeps it to one permission request.
- App push and in-app need no change in Omnisend
- Moving browser push: turn off push collection in Omnisend
- Book a demo to plan the switch
Install and collect subscribers
Ship the PushEngage SDK in your next app update, or install PushEngage on the store and switch on an opt-in prompt. If browser push moves, silent resubscribe brings your Omnisend subscribers over on their next visit with no second opt-in, so reachability starts lower and climbs as they return. If Omnisend can export each subscriber’s endpoint, auth key, p256dh, and VAPID keys, we import the list instead.
- Opt-in triggers by time, scroll, or click
- Segment on subscribe
- Free plan up to 200 subscribers
Measure push on its own
Goal tracking and UTM parameters report the revenue each push campaign and workflow brought back, so the new line item defends itself.
- UTM parameters on every click URL
- Goal tracking on Premium and above
- 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans

Questions, answered.
Does Omnisend send push notifications?
Yes, web push. Omnisend sends browser push in campaigns and automations to shoppers on Chrome, Firefox, and Opera on desktop and Android, and on Edge on Windows and Android. Its help center says push does not work in Safari or in any browser on iPhone. Web push is unlimited on Standard and Pro and capped at 500 a month on Free. We checked on October 5, 2026.
Does Omnisend have mobile app push?
Not that it lists. Omnisend’s channels page names email, SMS, web push, Google Customer Match, and Facebook Custom Audiences, and its glossary defines a push notification as web push to a browser. We found no app push SDK in its help center on October 5, 2026. PushEngage has iOS, Android, Flutter, and React Native SDKs, plus in-app messages.
Should I replace Omnisend with PushEngage?
No. Omnisend sends email and SMS; PushEngage does not. Stores that run both keep Omnisend for email and SMS and add PushEngage for app push, in-app messages, and the push jobs Omnisend does not cover, such as Safari and custom opt-in prompts.
When is Omnisend alone enough?
When browser push on desktop and Android is the only push you need, you have no mobile app, and one canvas for email, SMS, and push matters more than push-specific controls. Web push is already unlimited on Omnisend Standard and Pro, so a second tool for that alone is extra spend.
Does PushEngage integrate with Omnisend?
No. There is no PushEngage and Omnisend integration today, and we found none listed on either site. The two run side by side on the same store. If you want data to move between them, PushEngage has a REST API and Zapier on every plan, and webhooks on Growth.
Can I run Omnisend web push and PushEngage web push on the same site?
We recommend one tool for browser push per site, so shoppers see one permission request and one stream of notifications. App push and in-app messages run on PushEngage either way. If you move browser push to PushEngage, turn off push collection in Omnisend; silent resubscribe brings existing subscribers over on their next visit with no second opt-in, so reachability starts lower and climbs as they return. Our team plans the switch with you on a call.
Does PushEngage have send-time optimization?
Partly. On Premium and above, PushEngage sends in each subscriber’s own timezone: schedule 9 AM and every subscriber gets it at 9 AM local time, and you can A/B test send times. It does not predict a best send time for each subscriber. Omnisend predicts a send time per contact for email campaigns on Pro, while its SMS and push campaigns schedule on the store’s time zone.
What does PushEngage cost on top of Omnisend?
There is a free plan for 200 subscribers. Paid plans start from $8/month, billed yearly (first-year price). At standard renewal, 20,000 push subscribers cost $1,020 a year on Business, $1,458 on Premium, or $1,828 on Growth. Your Omnisend plan stays as it is unless you move browser push off it.
Why do Safari and iPhone matter for push?
Safari is the default browser on Mac and iPhone. Omnisend’s help center says its push reaches neither. PushEngage sends to Safari on Mac and to home-screen web apps on iOS 16.4+, so shoppers who add your store to their home screen can subscribe.
Keep Omnisend. Add the channels it does not list.
Start free with 200 subscribers, or pick a plan from $8/month, billed yearly. If PushEngage is not the best fit within 14 days of paying, we refund 100%. No questions asked.
