Why we built it
We are marketers. When Chrome added support for web push in 2015, we built a platform for our own sites. The click rates, subscription rates and return on investment beat every other engagement channel we were running, so we turned it into a product and launched it in January 2016.
The goal has not changed: make it easy to reach customers again at the right moment, and measure what that is worth. That started with web push. Today the same subscriber profile covers app push, in-app messages, WhatsApp and the chat widget, with workflows, segmentation and revenue tracking on top.
Part of Awesome Motive
In 2020, Syed Balkhi acquired PushEngage to make push notifications powerful for growing teams and easy for beginners. PushEngage is built by the same company behind WPBeginner, the largest free WordPress resource site, OptinMonster, WPForms, MonsterInsights and many more. Together, Awesome Motive products run on over 30 million websites.
