Why it works
The international lane of the retention platform you already run.
Web push stays the flagship for global audiences. WhatsApp reaches the customers whose attention lives there: Latin America, India, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
The channel customers actually check
WhatsApp is the dominant messaging platform across 100+ countries, with open rates above 90% within minutes of delivery. Your message lands next to the family group chat, with the same priority.
Meta Cloud API, productized
Connect your WhatsApp Business account through PushEngage. No BSP contract, no per-message pricing negotiation, no six-week procurement exercise. Template submission and management are handled for you.
Attributed next to your push revenue
WhatsApp campaign performance reports in the same dashboard as web push and app push, so international recovery revenue shows up as one attributable line, not a separate tool’s export.
How it works
Two flagship automations, then the whole lifecycle.
Cart recovery where email can’t compete
In WhatsApp-first markets, cart recovery that does 5 to 8% on email routinely does 15 to 25% on WhatsApp. Sequences carry the order details and a direct checkout link, and customers can reply with a question straight from the message.
- Multi-message abandoned cart sequences
- Order details and a direct checkout link in the message
- Two-way replies keep the sale moving
Order updates and post-purchase sequences
Transactional templates sit in Meta’s faster approval category and land where international customers look first. After delivery, post-purchase and reorder sequences keep the relationship running on the same thread.
- Order confirmation and shipping updates
- Post-purchase follow-ups and reorder reminders
- Where’s-my-order answered before the ticket exists
What’s included
Exactly what you’re buying, on one dashboard.
WhatsApp Automation is its own product lane on the platform: the same account that runs your web push runs your WhatsApp campaigns, and the chat widget that routes visitors into WhatsApp is a separate tool on the same login.
WhatsApp cart recovery
Abandoned cart sequences with the products, the price, and the checkout link, delivered to the app your international customers open dozens of times a day.
See cart recoveryOrder and shipping updates
Confirmation, shipping, and delivery updates read in minutes instead of hours. Fewer where’s-my-order tickets, more post-purchase trust.
See order updatesPre-approved templates, managed
Meta requires approved templates before campaigns run. That structure keeps the channel anti-spam by design, and PushEngage handles submission and management for you.

Unlike a one-way broadcast, customers can answer a WhatsApp message directly. The question about an order gets asked and resolved in the same thread.

Follow up after delivery and bring buyers back for the reorder, on a schedule you configure once. The sequence runs itself from there.

Questions, answered.
Do I need a BSP contract or my own Meta API relationship?
No. PushEngage productizes the Meta Cloud API and BSP provider paths. You connect your WhatsApp Business account inside PushEngage as a configuration step, not a procurement exercise.
Can I send any message I want on WhatsApp?
Marketing messages require Meta-approved templates before a campaign can run, and transactional templates approve faster. That structure is why WhatsApp deliverability and open rates stay high: the channel is anti-spam by design. Submit templates at least two weeks before a peak sales event.
Is this the same as the WhatsApp option in the chat widget?
No. WhatsApp Automation sends triggered campaigns and transactional updates on WhatsApp via the Meta Cloud API. The chat widget is a separate product that routes live website visitors into your WhatsApp for one-on-one conversations. They work together on the same login.
Will WhatsApp marketing get my business flagged as spam?
The template approval flow exists to prevent exactly that. Every marketing message runs on a Meta-approved template sent to opted-in subscribers, which protects your sender reputation by structure rather than by luck.
Does WhatsApp replace my web push campaigns?
No. Web push remains the flagship retention channel for global audiences. WhatsApp reaches the customers whose attention lives in WhatsApp-first markets, and both report into the same dashboard.
Which stores does it integrate with?
WooCommerce and Shopify, including Shopify Plus, with order and cart events wired natively. Custom stacks can trigger templates through the REST API.
